### Product Development Engineer 
for our Biotech Business

At our headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, our engineers innovate next-generation technologies that change how biopharma digitizes and automates bioprocess development. Our vision is to maintain this leading position and stand out significantly from all other bioprocess software applications and automated sampling systems. If you have a curious mindset which drives you to always learn and challenge the status quo, and you are interested in bioprocesses automation you could lead our products to further strengthen our leading position in this high-tech life science market. Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:


## Responsabilities
- Leading engineering activities and turning multidisciplinary requirements for our innovative products into concepts and great mechanical design
- Building functional models and prototypes to challenge and validate your concepts
- Responsible for the mechanical design workflow and its technical documentation
- Liaising with suppliers to manufacture components which meet the required quality standards and on time
- Collaborating with colleagues on specific projects to push our technology forward 
- Open minded, versatile, enthusiastic driven to embrace new challenges across the board and to make a difference


## Requirements
- Degree as mechatronic or mechanical engineer with at least 3 Years of experience in leading product development and engineering projects from concept up to manufacturing
- Experience with specifications, design and development of mechatronic devices and systems ideally within a regulated environment such as in the aerospace or automotive industry
- Hands-on experience and broad knowledge with traditional manufacturing processes, rapid prototyping methods and applicable ‘design for manufacturability’ guidelines
- Solid experience with designing, building and testing small laboratory devices
- Highly proficient in CAD Design and Solidworks is strongly preferred and experience in small scale fluidics (e.g. peristaltic or syringe pumps) and knowledge in bioprocessing and analytical technologies are a big plus 
- Confident in managing outsourcing and conducting negotiations with external suppliers
- A valid work permit and excellent verbal and written communication in English are a must, German is nice to have

### Java Software Engineer for Lucullus®  
for our process information management system for bioprocess development.

Our software engineers develop next-generation technologies that change how biopharma digitizes and automates bioprocess development to fulfill its purpose and bring highly demanded new medications to patients. Lucullus® is constantly being developed as it needs to handle different kinds of information from innumerable sources within highly complex and constantly evolving environments. Our vision is to maintain this leading position and stand out significantly from all other bioprocess software applications. Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:


## Responsabilities
- Liaising with customers to optimize workflow and meet their unique needs for specific applications and equipment 
- Handling 3rd level support issues for our customers and bring fresh ideas enabling us to access new fields
- Experienced backend developer able to work on full-stack (databases, business logic, UI front ends and network)
- Collaborating with your colleagues on specific projects to push our technology forward 
- Open minded, versatile, enthusiastic driven to embrace new challenges across the board and to make a difference

 
## Requirements
- Graduated in Computer Science or in an equivalent IT education, with at least 2 Years of experience as Java programmer with a deep knowledge of Java Framework (SPRING, JPA, JDBC and Hibernate) are a must
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and experience with Python and Oracle databases development are an advantage 
- Knowledge of frontend (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Vue.js) and experience with the Atlassian tool suite are highly welcomed 
- You are collaborative, goals and team oriented, work well independently and have strong problem-solving skills
- Communicate well in English in an international and intercultural setting. Knowledge of German is a plus
- Experience with automation / communication protocols and knowledge in (bio)process engineering is welcome but not necessary
- Valid work permit

### Product Specialist 
for **Numera®**, our automated sampling system for bioprocess development.

You are responsible for all project management around our Numera PAT system and plan, schedule and coordinate projects. You support our Field Engineer in the installation and maintenance of Numera systems, user training, application support and technical support for our worldwide direct customers and distributors. Based on customer experiences and needs, you will further develop and optimize Numera and personally collaborate with development project partners in academia. You supervise production and ensure quality control. 


## Your Profile
- You have earned an engineering degree in biotechnology (or comparable), very good knowledge of bioprocesses and analytical methods (PAT) as well as strong technical and IT skills. 
- You feel at ease with the fundamentals of electromechanics, design and (SPS-) programming. 
- You are willing to embrace travel activities of 30-40% (Europe, North America, Asia) 
- You like to work independently and use your strong problem-solving abilities in a goal-oriented way while collaborating and communication well in an international and intercultural setting. 
- 2-3 years of professional experience in a similar function is a plus, however not a prerequisite. 
- A valid work permit

### PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer
for for our biotech business.

## Your tasks
- Define technical requirements for automation solutions for customer projects and internal applications.
- Take responsibility for creating the PLC programs with visualization (Siemens S7 / WinCC flexible).
- Perform risk analyses, create test plans, functional specifications, and technical documentation.
- Perform parameterization and commissioning of electrical components (e.g., PLC controllers, frequency converters, measuring transmitters, PID controllers) in-house and on-site at the customer, including training (approx. 10% travel activity).
- Troubleshoot and provide support services.



## Your profile

- Completed basic education in electrical engineering, automation, mechatronics or similar with additional qualification at FH or HF level with focus on automation technology.
- Expert knowledge in the field of control engineering and in the programming of PLC controllers.
- Excellent knowledge of STEP 7 and WinCC flexible (classic and TIA Portal), programming in AWL, SCL and Graph-7.
- Experiences in bioprocess automation and project management are an advantage.
- Very good knowledge of German spoken and written, English is of advantage.
- Independent and responsible way of working.
- A valid work permit

### Product Development Engineer
for **Seracess AGM**

At our headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland, our engineers innovate the next generation of technologies that change how blood is analyzed in medical applications. In this role you will report to the CTO. You feel comfortable working in a cross functional hectic company environment as part of a highly collaborative international team, as well as thriving even under pressure within tight timelines and with high visibility towards senior management. Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:


## Responsibilities

- Planning and executing engineering activities, from conceptualization and prototyping all the way up to production 
- Leading products and modules development by applying mechanics, hydraulics, and heat transfer engineering principles
- Driving the complete projects’ integration, implementation, and verification efforts
- Realizing relevant design and architecture, modelling, simulation, production and writing technical documentation
- Championing the safety, efficacy, efficiency, and usability analysis of our devices 

## Requirements

- Degree in mechanical engineering, applied physics or equivalent experience and expertise 
- Proven experience with product development from concept to manufacturing (at least 3 years)
- Proven experience with specification, design and development of injection molded plastic components and systems preferably in a regulated environment such as in aerospace, automotive or with medical devices
- Broad knowledge of manufacturing methods, processes and applicable ‘design for manufacturability’ guidelines
- Hands-on experience with traditional manufacturing processes and rapid prototyping methods
- Solid direct experience with creating and testing prototypes and with handling small scale fluidics
- Experience working with Agile methods such as Scrum
- Confident in managing outsourcing and conducting negotiations with external suppliers
- Proficiency in CAD design and familiarity with SolidWorks™ PDM is strongly preferred
- A valid work permit and excellent verbal and written communication in English are a must, German is nice to have

### Product Development (Internship)
for Medtech

You will be supporting and in most cases driving the definition, design and realization of tests and test equipment to quantify performance and to further develop our technology towards Proof of Concept.  You will be fully responsible for the definition of the respective test protocols as well as the execution of the tests. Furthermore you are expected to critically analyze, present and discuss the results. 

- Degree in engineering, applied physics or equivalent experience and expertise
- Good understanding of relevant statistics 
- Hands-on experience with functional tests with good organization and prioritization skills
- Experience with small scale fluidics is a big plus
- Strong English and German language skills to collaborate in our international work environment 
- Positive and goal oriented mindset, reliable and honest personality 
- Education or experience in product development methodology is a plus 
- A valid work permit
